Safeguarding
Every child’s wellbeing and creative voice is at the centre of what we do. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility at the Hub.
Our commitment
Honeycombe Arts Hub is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people who take part in our activities. We expect all staff, volunteers, visiting artists and partners to share this commitment.
- All staff and regular volunteers hold enhanced DBS checks and receive safeguarding training appropriate to their role.
- We follow safer recruitment practices for everyone who works with our young people.
- Designated Safeguarding Leads are on site whenever sessions run, and our procedures follow local BCP Safeguarding Children Partnership guidance.
- Children’s digital work (including Seesaw portfolios) is checked before being shared, and our online-safety procedures cover photography and social media consent.
- Risk assessments are in place for all activities, venues and trips.
